TIQS uses a combination of the below indicators to pick stocks that are building a strong momentum due to its relative strength on multiple indicators.
EMA (Exponential Moving Average)
Like a regular average price, but it reacts faster because it gives more weight to recent days than older ones. Traders use it to spot trend direction quicker than a simple average would show.
Previous Day High Cross
When today's price moves above the highest point the stock touched yesterday. It's often seen as a sign of fresh buying interest, since the stock is pushing past a level it couldn't clear the day before.
MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence)
Shows if a stock's momentum is speeding up or slowing down by comparing two different "average price" lines — usually two EMAs (typically 12 and 26-period). When the faster line crosses above the slower one, it often means the stock is gaining strength.
RSI (Relative Strength Index)
A 0–100 score showing if a stock has moved up or down too fast recently. Above 70 usually means it's "overheated" (due for a pause); below 30 means it may have fallen too much, too quickly (due for a reversal).
EMA Cross
Compares a stock's short-term average price to its longer-term average price. When the short-term line crosses above the long-term one, it can mean a new uptrend is starting — crossing below can mean a downtrend.
Higher High, Higher Low
A pattern where the stock keeps making fresh peaks and fresh dips, but each dip stays above the last one — a sign the uptrend is healthy. If a new dip goes lower than the last one, the uptrend may be breaking down.
Volume Breakout
When a lot more shares than usual are traded on a single day, especially as the price breaks past an old high or low. Heavy volume on the move suggests real buying/selling interest, not just noise.
SMA (Simple Moving Average)
The average price of a stock over the last several days (like the last 50 or 200 days), updated daily. When the current price moves above or below this average, it's often used as a simple signal of the trend's direction.
